If you need to bring something very far away up close there are the ones for you. Your subject will seem to be right in front of you! For the money, these are very fine a long-range binoculars with a clear and powerful view of your target and very easy to focus according to all users. These are great binoculars for sporting events, vacations, looking at the stars, looking at wildlife and even birdwatching to some degree. The problem for bird watchers is that you can only focus down to 45 feet of while most dedicated birders like 8 to 10 feet. Also keep in mind that there will be some image shaking when looking through them which is common with high-powered binoculars. If you can use a tripod or stand with these you will find the long-range viewing to be excellent. The binoculars are rubber coated for secure handling and even provide knurled surfaces where your hands normally hold onto a pair of binoculars. Keep in mind that, despite the rubber coating, these are not waterproof or fog proof. This is of major importance if you're someone who is out in the field in all types of weather. There is a danger of water entering and fogging up the lens internally when binoculars are only "weather resistant". The majority of the user complaints centered around flimsy or inadequate accessories. The strap itself was felt to be very cheap and it is highly recommended that you replace them if you buy these binoculars to protect your investment. Some users felt the carrying case was a little flimsy as well and some found the lens caps were skimpy and easy to lose. If you're willing to overlook the shortcomings of the accessories, are willing to buy replacements or already have some at home then you will find yourself with a very nice pair of long range viewing binoculars at a great price point.
