The binoculars offer a clear, crisp view but the major selling point of these types if binoculars is the ability to take photos of your subjects and view and manipulate them in your home computers system. The digital camera portion takes crystal-clear, still 2.1 Megapixel photos and stores them in memory for transfer to your computer system later. The "Rapid Repeat" camera function allows you to snap three photos one second apart. The camera has AVI movie capability. This digital binoculars/camera package is quite good but make sure you have the right computer system to work with this or you will be disappointed...and that was the major point of contention for most of the dissatisfied users. If you can't hook it up to a computer then you all you have is a pair of binoculars with a useless camera. Those who were able to connect the camera successfully to the computer were very delighted with these digital binoculars. Your computer will need to be a Pentium 166MMX minimum system (Pentium II 266 recommended) or equivalent AMD processor, Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2000 or XP [Note: not Mac capable], have 32 MB of RAM, 200 megabytes of free hard drive space, and a USB port which is capable of providing power to any connected devices. Camera takes 2 AAA batteries...has a tripod mount...has a remote shutter release. The package comes with a neck strap, a carry case, a USB cable and the necessary software on a CD.
